TFS Server Reporting Service Down

Comments Off on TFS Server Reporting Service Down

tfs-2008 Sometimes happens that the TFS Server 2007 forgot to update the REPORTS for the Projects. This is very visible when you try to access from the Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010.

So the error is a Microsoft reported error and for this you are need to follow some steps. Ofcourse you are need a Remote Desktop access to TFS server. The problems is with the Warehouse Database Agents.

  1. Connect to TFS server with RDP.
  2. Open a browser.
  3. Connect to this page to verify the Status of the Reports.
  4. http://localhost:8080/Warehouse/v1.0/warehousecontroller.asmx?op=GetWarehouseStatus
In the NORMAL situation this response value muss be RUNNING
  5. If the respons is IDLE start this page:
  6. http://localhost:8080/Warehouse/v1.0/warehousecontroller.asmx?op=Reinitialize
  7. You are need to wait some minuts (2-5 min) until the Reporting Service regenerate the reports and can try the link on the 3.

Some help for the response messages:
